How to Do Things with Words

Laura-Maria Poletti, Tamara Kamola Rashidova & ART Tienen

Dates
Saturday 23 May, 14:00
Duration
5 min. to 10 min.

Created in 2016 at P.A.R.T.S, How to Do Things with Words explores a grammatical and syntactical approach to movement, where phrases with distinct dynamics and musicality are woven together into a living corpus. The workshop invites students to develop their own vocabulary and spatial constructions—supported by tools such as the Laban cube—before combining their material into a collective site-specific piece. The process emphasizes finding a personal voice in movement while learning how individual expressions can resonate together in composition.
