About us

LanDans Festival is a cultural event in Landen, Belgium, celebrating dance, art, workshops, and community.

Through the festival, we aim to create a space in Landen where everyone feels at home—a place where you can be yourself, discover something new, and connect with others through dance, art, and creativity. It is a space for exchange between communities, where culture brings people together.

How it started

LanDans Festival was born from a simple idea: bringing dance and culture to Landen, where opportunities for contemporary artistic exchange are still limited.

One of the festival's initiators belongs to the 11th generation of graduates from P.A.R.T.S., the international school for contemporary dance in Brussels. During their studies, that generation co-created an independent graduation festival, an initiative that later inspired the school to establish an official end-of-year festival as part of its curriculum.

Ten years later, in 2026, while living in Landen, she wanted to revive that same spirit locally—creating a festival that brings artists together, shares current practices, and strengthens the local arts scene.
