I invite you to Flower Bath.

Become part of poetry of flowers,

become with them a dune, a mountain, a flowountain!

Sigh, float, buzz

Who carries who?

Flower bath is a one-on-one performance, where the experiencer is given a bath of flowers, and smooth warm stones. Performance is a meditative, intimate journey of sensations offered by materiality of flowers – their rich scent world, textures, touches, tickles, crackles, sensations of weight and weightlessness. Flower bath invites to the surface various physical sensations of feeling love. I build an artificial situation with the help of flowers and soundscape for visiting different sensations - losing sense of your own limits, sinking in while flying high, feeling warm, serene. You receive a gift from your bath at the end of it. Welcome to bathe in visual wonder.

The piece was made during covid-19 pandemic, and crisis of lack of touch. It is also an intimate piece dealing with a loss of a loved one and can be felt as a kind of a death ritual. It has been performed in different cities around Finland as part of FINFRINGE and Kehä festivals, MadHouse Helsinki ́s program, and in Northern Italy at Koivu, Valchiusella. I perform the piece alone. The piece follows my choreographic work with diving deep into materials worlds with nonhuman friends.
